Job Purpose
This position will be responsible to perform Process improvements & process sustenance, analysis of yield/quality
related issues on assembly cells. Typical duties include yield improvement, rejection analysis, tooling validation &
improvement, DMAIC analysis, design of Tooling & Fixtures, DL training & Skill improvement on new or existing
processes. Skills required to assist Manufacturing/Quality engineering to implement new equipment & changes to
processes through ECN. Implementing Equipment Qualification /Process Qualification, SPC, Poka-Yoke, SOP, Work
Instruction, Job Card & Setup approvals, FMEA, implement Quality Systems on assembly cells, Small Automation &
cycle time improvement.
Core Responsibilities
 Analyse, develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and
equipment, requirements for production/assembly of new and existing products
 Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement sustainable corrective actions / design and implement
SPC, poka-yoke and other process capability and problem solving and monitoring tools
 Serves as the Manufacturing Lead on a new product development team
 Responsible for implementing Manufacturing Flow Charts, Standard Work, procedures, Control Plans and
FMEAs as prescribed by ISO standards and Idea forge Standards
 Implementing Equipment Qualification/Process Qualification process & ensuring periodic tooling validation
on assembly cells
 To have thorough understanding of GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, Engineering Material properties, DFM
concepts, ergonomics & Poka-yokes while proposing any change in the manufacturing set-up as well as
designing new manufacturing lines
 Responsible for handling customer concerns and DEMIC analysis
 Implementing changes & improvements using ECN process
